Network Cabling.

Installation of Cat6, Cat6A and Cat8.

Cabling Solutions

The right cable for every application.

Future-proof by design. Every environment requires the right cable per code and regulations, and that is not a question of cost. Whether it’s a riser closet, a plenum space or an industrial setting with strong magnetic fields, your customer only finds out when something fails, or worse.

Stop paying for callbacks.

Remediation on older sites is one thing. New installations should be worry-free, so we back ours with a limited lifetime warranty.

Cabling should be a work of art.

Your customer should smile with pride at the cabling in their MDFs and IDFs.

Certs and docs.

Certified test results give certainty in the cabling plant, and as-built plans make future expansions easier and more efficient.

Your Advantage

Cabling done right.

Designed and installed to ANSI/TIA standards, BICSI best practices and the NEC, then tested, labeled and documented before we leave. From the telecom room to the building next door, under your name.

01

The right cable for the application.

  • Cat6 · 250 MHz. Gigabit to the full 328 ft channel, but 10 Gb only to about 180 ft. Right for standard workstations, VoIP phones and cameras.
  • Cat6A · 500 MHz. 10 Gb to the full 328 ft, and it runs cooler under high-power PoE (up to 90 W). Our default for Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 access points and new builds.
  • Cat6A shielded. The same performance with a foil shield against EMI from motors, VFDs and heavy electrical, bonded and grounded so the shield actually works.
  • Cat8 · 2,000 MHz. 25/40 Gb on channels up to about 98 ft, for switch-to-server links in data centers.

Every jacket is rated for the space it runs through: plenum (CMP) above ceilings used for air return, riser (CMR) between floors.

02

Inside plant. Horizontal and backbone copper cabling, supported on J-hooks, ladder rack and cable tray with proper bend radius and separation from power. Telecom rooms built out with racks, cable management, firestopped penetrations and grounding and bonding to TIA-607.

03

Outside plant. Building-to-building links underground in conduit or duct bank, direct-buried, or aerial on messenger strand. Cable is matched to the environment: gel-filled (“icky-pick”) or dry water-blocked cores, UV-resistant jackets and armor where rodents or crush are a risk. At the building, it transitions to listed inside cable within the NEC’s 50-foot entrance limit, with primary protection on copper.

04

Site survey and proposal. A full walk of the site: pathways, ceiling and wall conditions, telecom room space and power, drop counts, run lengths and the permit and inspection requirements for the jurisdiction. You get a scope of work, bill of materials, marked-up floor plans, the permits the job will need and a proposal ready to hand to your customer under your brand.

05

Site preparation and material staging. We coordinate with local contacts, stakeholders and general contractors, prep ceiling access and pathways, and receive, inventory and stage materials, so installation starts the day the crew arrives and the site stays clean.

Network cabling FAQ

Questions, answered.

Cat6 handles standard workstations, VoIP phones and cameras, with gigabit to the full 328 ft and 10 Gb to about 180 ft. Cat6A is our default for Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 access points, high-power PoE and new builds, because it carries 10 Gb the full 328 ft and runs cooler under load. Cat8 is only for short switch-to-server links in data centers.

Certification results for every run, a port map, jacks and panels labeled to TIA-606 to match that map, and as-built drawings showing where every drop and pathway went. It’s all ready to forward to your customer under your name.

Yes. Cavonet is a licensed telecommunications contractor. We identify the permit and inspection requirements during the site survey, pull the permits and coordinate the inspections.

New installations are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, so you’re not paying for callbacks on our work. Ask for the full terms with your quote.

Whatever you have. If there’s a floor plan with drops marked, the cable category and the IDF location, send it and we’ll quote fast. If it’s an empty space or the layout isn’t settled, we’ll walk the site with you, help work out how many stations and drops each area needs, and build the scope from there. Photos of the ceiling and the closet always help.

Every cable has two ends. We handle both.

We pull it, we punch it down, and we do the paperwork.
