Rack and stack.

The equipment showed up. Now it needs to be racked, powered, patched and labeled before your engineers can turn anything up.

From Delivery to Turn Up: Complete Rack and Stack Deployment.Infrastructure

The problem

Great gear, sloppy install.

When racking is rushed, cables block airflow, power is unbalanced and nothing is labeled. Your engineers lose hours tracing ports before they can even start.

Delayed turn-ups

Remote engineers wait on a site that isn’t ready.

Hard-to-support racks

Unlabeled cabling slows every future troubleshooting call.

A bad first impression

Your customer sees the rack before they see the network working.

The solution

Rack and Stack Services

Cavonet receives, racks, powers and patches your equipment to your standards, then documents it so your team can take over remotely.

01

Server, Switch, Router, and Firewall Installation

Professional mounting and installation of network and computing equipment to ensure systems are securely deployed, properly organized, and ready for configuration and turn up.

02

UPS, PDU, and Power Distribution Setup

Installation of battery backup systems, power distribution units, and related hardware to improve equipment reliability and help protect critical infrastructure from unexpected outages.

03

Patch Panel and Network Connectivity Integration

Organized patching of copper and fiber connections between equipment, creating a cleaner environment that simplifies troubleshooting and future changes.

04

Cable Management and Jumper Dressing

Neatly routed power cords, patch cables, and fiber jumpers reduce clutter, improve airflow, minimize accidental disconnections, and create a professional appearance customers appreciate.

05

Equipment Labeling and Documentation

Clear labeling of devices, ports, circuits, and connections helps IT teams quickly identify infrastructure while giving project managers confidence that the installation is properly documented.

Rack & stack FAQ

Questions, answered.

Rack elevation or placement instructions, the equipment list, power requirements, patching plan and a contact who can confirm devices come online. Shipping tracking helps if we’re receiving equipment.

When arranged ahead of time, yes. Staging lets us unbox, inventory and catch damaged or missing items before the install window instead of during it.

We balance loads across circuits or PDUs as directed, keep power and data separated where possible, use proper cable management and leave airflow clear. A clean rack is easier to support and less likely to overheat.

Yes. We can stay onsite to reseat, repatch or swap components while your engineers work remotely, which avoids a second trip.

Photos front and back, labels on equipment and cables, and serial numbers when your project calls for them.

Absolutely. We regularly work under customer specific standards, installation guides, rack layouts, labeling conventions, documentation requirements, and closeout procedures. Our technicians become an extension of your team, delivering work that aligns with your customer’s expectations while maintaining a consistent experience across every location.

No problem. Every customer has their own way of doing things. Whether it’s equipment spacing, cable color standards, labeling formats, grounding methods, documentation templates, or specific installation procedures, we follow your customer’s requirements rather than forcing a one size fits all approach.

Yes. Before installation begins, we verify customer furnished equipment, mounting hardware, power requirements, rack compatibility, optics, patch cables, and other critical components. We also identify site conditions that could impact the project, allowing your team to resolve issues before technicians arrive on site.
